Warts

General overview:

Warts are skin growths caused by a contagious virus known as the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). This virus stimulates the rapid growth of cells in the outermost layer of the skin. Warts most commonly arise on the fingertips, hands and on the soles of the feet.
