Overview:
The double chin, medically known as submental fat, is an area of stubborn localized deposition of fat cells that lies superficially below the chin. It is treated by injecting Deoxycholic acid, which is manmade form of a bile acid that naturally emulsifies fat. When injected subcutaneously, this treatment works by destroying fat cells and therefore improving the appearance of the double chin.
